Privacy Policy

Trei ("we", "us", "the developer") built App Uninstaller as an Android utility for reviewing installed apps and starting Android's built-in uninstall flow. This privacy policy explains what the app can access and how that information is handled.

The short version: App Uninstaller does not collect personal data, does not create accounts, does not show ads, and does not include analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. Installed app information is processed on your device to show the app list and storage estimates. The app fetches a small public review prompt configuration and may send a masked non-fatal diagnostic event without sending your app inventory or a user identifier.

Review Prompt Configuration

The app may request https://api.trei.dev/appuninstaller/config to read whether Android's native in-app review flow is enabled and its session timing. When eligible, the app may show a neutral review choice with Rate now, Not now, and Send feedback actions. It does not ask for sentiment or a rating score, and only Rate now opens Android's native review flow. This request does not send your installed app list, selected packages, uninstall history, account data, advertising identifiers, or a device identifier.

Review eligibility uses only local app state such as a session count, whether an uninstall was confirmed, dismissals, and recent local failure timing. That state remains in App Uninstaller's private Android storage.

Data Collection by the App

App Uninstaller does not collect, sell, or share personal data. When a caught operation fails, the app may send a masked non-fatal diagnostic event to https://api.trei.dev/client-issues. It contains only a fixed operation context, exception class, generic failure message, Android platform, App Uninstaller package name, and app version. It does not include the raw error message, stack trace, installed app inventory, selected package, uninstall history, account data, advertising identifier, or device identifier. Google Play Data Safety purposes of App functionality and Analytics apply to these limited diagnostics because they are used to monitor reliability and measure technical failure patterns.

  • No user accounts, registration, or sign-in.
  • No advertising SDKs.
  • No analytics SDKs.
  • No crash-reporting SDKs.
  • No tracking identifiers.
  • No in-app server uploads of your installed app list. Selected packages are not uploaded.

Installed App Information

The app reads the list of apps installed on your device so it can display app names, package names, icons, system-app status, and estimated app storage. This information is used only inside the app interface and remains on your device.

Uninstall Requests

When you select apps to remove, App Uninstaller starts Android's system uninstall confirmation flow. Android shows the final confirmation before an app is removed. App Uninstaller does not silently remove apps, does not require root access, and does not bypass Android restrictions for system or pre-installed apps.

Permissions

  • QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES - used to show installed apps in the app manager list.
  • REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES - used to request Android's system uninstall flow for apps you select.
  • INTERNET - used to fetch the public review prompt configuration and send masked non-fatal diagnostic events. Installed app inventory is not uploaded. Selected packages are not uploaded.

A feedback shortcut may open the Trei feedback page in your browser; any information you choose to submit there is handled by the website feedback flow.

Children's Privacy

App Uninstaller is a general Android utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children or any other users through the app.

Data Security

While the device is offline, up to 50 pending masked diagnostics may remain in App Uninstaller's private storage. Successful uploads are removed from this queue, and records older than seven days are purged the next time the app or background delivery worker accesses the queue. The diagnostic endpoint may retain the limited masked operational fields described above for reliability monitoring. It does not receive personal data, installed app inventory, selected packages, raw error messages, or stack traces. Local app information is protected by Android's app sandbox and removed according to Android's normal app data behavior.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if App Uninstaller changes how it handles data or permissions. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.
